Amazing amazing amazing

Nice and clean friendly

Love this Gym staff are all friendly. I joined when it 1st opened. I mainly go spinning. Sophie's class is amazing and also love Kerry's HIT and ride. Plenty of classes at all different times to suit everyone. Plenty of equipment for all to use.

The biggest problem with the JD gym in Coventry is the ’padlock issue’. Yes, there are some other issues, like machines in a state of disrepair, too few boxing bags etc, but they would be problems that other gyms suffer from too.
The ’padlock issue’ is a problem where the gym users choose to ’reserve’ their favourite locker by means of leaving a padlock on overnight. It is extremely annoying that nothing tangible is done about that. Sometimes the staff would leave a sticker on the said padlocks politely reminding the member not to do it. And that’s that.
I come at various times, when I come at 6am. and I am literally the 1st or 2nd person to walk through the door, there are already over 20 padlocks in the male changing room area.
Other gyms tackle the issue efficiently by cutting the padlocks and the users quickly learn that they are not to leave their padlocks overnight. Strangely enough, Coventry JD just won’t do anything about the issue.

Very nice clean and tidy gym

My experience is not a bad one regarding a particular gym site, more a poor experience from the organisation who to date have still not sent a follow up email as promised to provide me with all of the info I will need to enjoy my membership. I am filling this review in as a further attempt to make contact with JD gyms and hope someone is monitoring these reviews.

Consistently missing pins/hooks. Faulty equipment most days.
Showers close to boiling.
Music often not playing in the morning.

This was the worst experience as a customer in my 18+ years in this country. Even staff in higher management positions lack the capacity to address customers in a respectful manner and resolve complaints. They prefer to cancel a membership of a long-term member, rather than say sorry and resolve the situation. When you leave a truthful negative review it will be removed (remember Trustpilot is a business and companies are their target customers). Do not trust all the hyped positivity about this gym. It is carefully curated. In my experience the truth is really not that lovely. So when you join this gym expecting some great service but encounter something completely opposite - you are not crazy or different from everyone else. You are just experiencing the reality of jd

I have moved to Hull for work recently, and I joined JD gyms in Hull for a month. I cancelled the direct debit for next month, because i wanted to move out of hull next month. But, JD has just cancelled my access to the gym straight away even before my first day to the gym. Then i raised a complaint to JD membership enquiry for which I got a reply back after week, till then i couldn't access the gym. Even worse, I'm trying to call the customer care number which they had given for more than a week, still nobody answer. Now that its almost 3 weeks after my payment and I couldn't able to access the gym, I am tired now to even try again. My payment for one month was a joke to them ha ha. It's completely waste. I would never recommend this gym to anyone ever.

Gavin was very helpful, when the JD Burn class had been cancelled, he set up a circuit for me.

Been out of action from the gym for a good few years! I’ve decided to return to JD gyms and it’s just how I remember. Clean, tidy and plenty of equipment to use. Four sessions in now and already feeling the benefit!

Was easy to sign up to join online. There’s so much equipment and the gym is very spacious, clean and organised. The available classes are the kind of classes I used to go to, with the benefit of not having to book in advance because of the space. Staff are very helpful. The free parking is so convenient too. Can’t think of anything negative about the Dundee JD Gym.

I recently lost one of my AirPods in one of the stepper machines, luckily I got it back thanks to the help of one of your workers in the Hull gym named Lewis. If it wasn’t for him, I would’ve had to spend another £150 odd for a new pair. I asked for his name and if I could leave a review and he seemed really glad, but genuinely I was thrilled he was able to help.
